The WCC Podcast: A National Framework for Burnout and Moral Injury in Healthcare

A limited six episode series, the WCC Podcast aims to elevate the experiences of healthcare workers across the nation and identify strategies for improving working and learning environments for healthcare professionals and learners. This series is a production of Workplace Change Collaborative—a partnership between the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity at George Washington University, Moral Injury of Healthcare, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and AFT Healthcare. The Workplace Change Collaborative is funded by the US Health Resources and Services Administration.

The WCC Podcast is hosted by Dr. Wendy Dean, CEO and co-Founder of Moral Injury of Healthcare and a Workplace Change Collaborative partner.

The US health workforce is in distress.  Burnout and moral injury are on the rise, and the consequences for practitioners and patients are devastating. In this special six-part series, the Workplace Change Collaborative, funded by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, explores the drivers and consequences of burnout and moral injury amongst health workers, and identifies practical strategies to improve their well-being.
